| Dr. Kerry FitzPatrick, DVM |
 |
Dr. Kerry's passion in life is animals. She started working with her father and observing surgeries at the age of eight.
As a child, she had fish, exotic birds, rabbits, cats and dogs, and even rescued an injured duck from UNM's duck pond. In high school, she started a Santa Paws food drive that consistently collected several tons of pet food for area shelters at Christmas time. Dr. Kerry's love and compassion for animals defines her human animal bond. Her Chihuahua, Pablo, and kitty, K.P., would agree that a healthy, spoiled life is the only way to live.
Dr. Kerry graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2001 from the University of New Mexico where she also played soccer on scholarship |
|
She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Washington State University in 2005, where she was also the recipient of the Marvin Hales scholarship for having outstanding compassion and clinical skills. She has spent the last four years of her career working with board certified veterinary surgeons and practitioners in the Santa Barbara, California area. Her special interests include dentistry, geriatric care, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery as well as behavior.
Dr. Kerry moved back home to Albuquerque in the summer of 2009 to open ABQ PetCare. Under her supervision, and the mentorship of her father, ABQ PetCare is Albuquerque's first family practice for pets.
Dr. Kerry has also been heard on KKOB on "Pet Talk with Dr. Kerry"
"My pets are my 'kids' and I invite your pets to join our 'family', too." - Dr. Kerry |
