Dr. Dalimata completed her undergraduate education at Carroll College in Helena, Montana, and received her DVM from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Science in 1996. She practiced in Massachusetts and South Dakota before settling in Santa Fe for the past 20 years where she spent the majority of her career in emergency medicine but also general practice and relief work in the Santa Fe and Albuquerque areas. She considers veterinary medicine an opportunity for lifelong learning and enjoys helping pets and their people.
When not at work, she spends time in the company of her family, gardening and the challenges of this hobby in the high desert, cooking, golfing, trying new foods and recipes, and reading anything written by Barbara Kingsolver. Her family includes 3 cats: Zeke, the ungrateful diabetic, Leo, the Spartan warrior, and Gus, Mr. Personality Plus.
