Dr. Bays was born and raised in Missouri, where she received her undergraduate degree in biology, master’s degree in public health, and her graduate degree of veterinary medicine. Dr.  Bays practiced at a small animal hospital for a year in Missouri before moving to Pennsylvania and working for a mobile small animal practice in the Philadelphia area. 

Dr. Bays recently moved to New Mexico. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, senior pet care, wellness care, and client communication.  

Outside of work, Dr. Bays loves to spend time with her husband and two terriers, Albus and Aegon. She spends most of her weekends out enjoying the New Mexico outdoors or participating in dog sports such as agility and barn hunt with her pups.  She also enjoys birdwatching and reading fantasy books.
